Making Labyrinth Maps on Flip Charts
"Make a map, not a tracing:
What distinguishes the map from the tracing is that it is
entirely oriented toward
an experimentation in contact with the real.It is itself
part of the rhizome.
The map is open and connectable in all of its dimensions;
it is detachable, reversible, and susceptible to constant
modifications.
It can be torn, reversed, adapted to any kind of mounting,
reworked by an individual, group or social formation”
Gilles Deleuze & Felix Guattari: A
Thousand Plateaux, 1988
Vicky: This activity will
take 15 minutes and we would like you to imagine how your
life would look like in 5 years time.
Imagine your life is a journey through a labyrinth. Think
about:
what were the challenges?
Who (and what) helped you along the way?
What were the pitfalls you managed to avoid?
What did you learn as you went along particular pathways in
the labyrinth?
Did you find any hidden “treasures”?
How will you share your findings with others?
So, go to a flip chart on the wall and draw your
map!
