Onions
have been cultivated in the fields surrounding the village
of Koumeika for at least four centuries. Today, Koumeika
still has an annual Onion Harvest-festival. We plan a
project that will demonstrate how the onions
are
cultivated, and how healthyfood could be produced, through
sa link with the Amfilissos Area organic farming
project.
